THE FUNDAMENTALS THEY NEED TODAY*


*CAMP FOCUS*
Getting kids excited about the sport of triathlon. Building character, good sportsmanship, self- esteem and confidence. Using games to make learning lots of fun.


*CAMP TRAINING*
Fundamentals of basic swimming, cycling and running techniques, bike safety and maintenance, brick workouts, transition practice and race pacing, nutrition and healthy living, sportsmanship, USAT Youth Rules, and a practice triathlon.

Optimist Pool Complex features a 50 meter x 25 yard Olympic size swimming pool. Shelley Lake is walking distance from the pool with approximately 3 miles
of smooth paved trails for running and bike riding around the 53 acre lake.

*TIME:* 9am-1pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 9-11:30
Friday morning  - IN-HOUSE Mini Triathlon around 10

*Coach Jeanna* has earned USAT All American status for the past 6 years. In 2006 she competed in Clearwater 70.3, where she posted the 2nd fastest women’s bike split. She is a Three-time Ironman World Champion Qualifier and five-time Ironman Finisher.

*Coach Margo* has competed at all triathlon distances to include numerous Sprints, Olympic’s, Half Ironman’s, and is a three-time Ironman at Coeur d’Alene, Lake Placid and Mont Tremblant. Most recently, she has competed in a number of Xterra off-road triathlons including a 4th place finish in her age group at the US Nationals and back to back top ten age group finishes at the 2010 and 2011 Xterra World Championship in Maui.

*Requirements*

- ages 9-16
-Camper must be able to swim 50 yards and be a USAT member.
-USAT Memberships may be purchased while registering for THE KIDS TRI Camp.
-Camper must be able to ride a bike without training wheels.
-Camper must have a bike properly fit and in riding condition.
