The 5th Annual Cary Park 5K & Mile Fun run is set to take place Saturday, May 3rd with a start and finish at the Cary Park Clubhouse.
The Cary Park 5K race takes place on a certified USATF 5K course held within the Cary Park community in West Cary. The course is both challenging and scenic. The race begins at the Cary Park clubhouse and proceeds down a roller coaster of hills on Cary Glen Blvd and a couple of side streets to the Cary Park Lake. The lake is encompassed by a paved Town of Cary greenway trail, which makes up about half of the course. After a lap around the relatively flat lake, it’s a return trip through the roller coaster and an uphill stretch to the finish line. The race begins at 8:30 a.m.
After the 5K race, we are holding a 1 Mile Fun Run / Walk to encourage both children and adults to challenge themselves to exercise for fun as every step counts! This begins at 9:30 a.m.
Be sure to hang around for the post-race raffle and award ceremony.
