Grab your Shoes and Grab your Gear, Halloween time is almost near. Witches, potions, spells and brooms, Early morning creatures loom. Beware the cats and vampire bats. And on the course are rabid rats! WeTRIsports presents this year, A Hallowed Half you're sure to fear. So don’t delay and sign up now Dracula's fangs are sure to WOW!

WeTriSports is proud to present Wake Forest’s First Hallowed Half Marathon and 10K race on Sunday October 28, 2012. The Half Marathon will begin at 7:30am and the 10K will start at 8:00 am.

WeTRIsports is offering a 12 week program beginning on August 1st designed for people who want to train for the Hallowed Half Marathon or 10K race. Mentors will meet with the groups 2 times a week.

Half Marathon Training program is $90 for a 12 week period
10K Training Program will be $50 for a 7 week period.

This race will benefit the following charities:

The YMCA Community Outreach which focuses on a community-wide effort
to raise funds for children, teens, families and adults. They donate
100% of the money raised to fund scholarships and programming in our

The Wake Forest Memorial Post 8466, VFW. The Post is actively
securing benefits for veterans of all ages and assisting to make their
lives rewarding and meaningful. In addition, the Post devotes
considerable effort contributing to the overall well-being of the Wake

Duke Ovarian Cancer Research. The Duke Cancer Institute promotes
collaborations between individuals involved in cancer care, research,
and education. It provides patients with the latest therapies to help

Race Description

The half marathon course will start at the The Factory and encompass the downtown Wake Forest and heritage area. The 10K course is an out and back. The courses have rolling hills with some spooky fun adventures along the way. They are a perfect fit for runners of all ages and levels!

*All participants must maintain a 16 minute per mile pace during the race. Failure to maintain this pace will result in a participant being asked to move onto the sidewalk or shoulder of the road.

WeTriSports will host a fun post-race party for the entire family to experience! Extend the celebration beyond the finish line by enjoying food and refreshments, fun activities for kids and a variety of products and services from our sponsors.

There will be 5 aid stations on the half marathon course as well as refreshments at the finish line.
Miles 2.7, 4, 6, 8.5 and 11

There will be 2 aid stations on the 10K course.
Miles 8.5 and 11
There will be porta potties at the start/finish line, mile 4 and 10

Rules and Regulations:

For the safety of our runners, we do NOT allow dogs in either race. We also do not allow inline skates, skateboards, roller skates or any mode of transportation other than running or walking.

The Race Director or Race Committee members reserve the right to remove any participant from the race course at their discretion.
