Chris Newport MS, RDN, LDN with Endurance NEWtrition will be hosting FREE nutritional seminars for this event. There are limited seats! Swim Start Times - We use a manual timer so the breaks and lineup are controlled by FS!
The 250 yard pool swim will take place in the Rex Wellness Center of Garner's lap pool. Participants will then make their way to the transition area in the larger parking lot in the front right corner of the facility. The bike course is the fastest course of all the REX races. It features a 5 mile out and back course on Timber drive. This course is great for the beginner triathlete. To finish the race, athletes will enjoy a 2.0 mile run down and back Timber drive. There will be a water station as you exit the transition area and at the turnaround on the run. The race will finish up across from the transition area in parking lot of the adjacent building. Post race snacks and water will be available at the finish line.
The race course revolves around a transition area next to the Rex Healthcare of Garner facility. The same transition area will be used for all phases. The transition area will open at 5:00 am; ALL bikes need to be placed in position before the transition area closes at 6:45am.
All participants must submit a average 100 meter swim time for seeding purposes.
Being a pool swim with a staggered start, participants are seeded from fastest to slowest. If you know any previous swim time from a practice, race, etc., we have supplied a distance calculator next to your estimated swim time. By seeding yourself properly, you'll end up swimming near people who swim the same pace as you. This will reduce the number of people who you will need to pass or the number of people who will be passing you.

Rex Wellness Sprint Triathlon - Garner Pricing:
The last day to register online for the Rex Wellness Sprint Triathlon - Garner is Thursday, July 10, 2014. On-site registration may be available if this event is not full, but your best bet is to register online.
A fee for USAT race day insurance will be added if you are not a USAT member ($12.00 for adults, $10.00 for ages 17 and under).

Packet Pickup Requirements: Each person participating in the race must pickup there own race packet and you are required to present a valid driver license and a valid USA Triathlon card. If you paid the one day fee online then you only need to bring your drivers license. Each member of the relay team must pickup there own packets and sign a release waiver.
NO DRIVERS LICENSE, NO VALID USA TRIATHLON CARD (unless you paid one day fee) - NO RACE!

Special Divisions include:
Athena - Females over 165 lbs.
Clydesdale - Males over 220 lbs.
Relays - Athletes can register as a 2 or 3 person relay team for the triathlon. 2 person relay teams - one person will do two events and one person will do one event. 3 person relay teams - each person will do one event; the swim, bike or run.

Refund, Transfer and Weather Policy
50% of your entry fee will be refunded until June 13th, 2014. No refunds will be issued for any reason after June 13th, 2014. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events or years. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms. To request a refund you must complete the refund request form using the link below.
In the event of inclement weather the following procedures will be followed:
1. The event will be postponed until 7:45AM in hopes the inclement weather will pass.
2. If inclement weather does not pass by 7:45AM, the event will be changed to a duathlon format.
3. If a duathlon is not possible, the event will be cancelled and a 50% credit will be issued for all registered participants into the 2015 event. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.
4. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather prior to event weekend, a 50% credit will be issued for all registered participants into the 2015 event. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled due to inclement weather.
