The Race
The swim will be in Lake Raleigh on Centennial Campus at North Carolina State University. To reduce athlete congestion during the swim, the time trial start will consist of athletes entering the water every few seconds. The swim temperature will be around 65 to 70 degrees and wetsuit legal. The bike is a one loop, rolling course that will start off on campus and quickly head into SW Raleigh before returning to the transition area. The run course is USATF certified around Centennial Campus and will be split between pavement and sidewalk. Water stations will be located on the run only. The finish line is across the street from the transition area.
The race course revolves around a transition area next to Centennial Plaza. The same transition area will be used for all phases. The transition area will open at 6am; ALL bikes need to be placed in position before the transition area closes at 7:45am.
